i have been dying my hair since i was 10 so thats 9 years and i have always done it at home. it's really easy and i have always been satisfied. i think its really funny to change my haircolour and by doing it at home you save alot of money.

i really want to change my hair colour and would like to do it myself. if you want your hair to go lighter though don't you have to bleach it so that it absorbs the colour? can this be done at home and what products would i need? any help appreciated. thanks <3

yea, you have to bleach it first. I definitely wouldn't do that at home, its too risky.

^lol. I think if you have black hair (like me) it's a little too risky to try to lighten it at home .

Do you mean the style? I think you could use a small curling iron, or braid your hair when it's wet .

^I agree. I think the curling iron's probably the best bet though, so you avoid the frizz that comes with the braids.

a 2 inch is what I have, and they always come out too big. so im guessing they use more of a 1'' or 1.5''?

yeah try a thin curling iron. i usually make mine as curly as possible and then run my fingers through it a bit to soften them and then it creates a 'mary-kate' like effect. but it may be different with different hair

^Yea, it's probably harder to do if your hair's thicker because it doesn't hold curl as well.
